Former Iowa State basketball player Xavier Foster no longer a suspect in sexual assault investigation
Former Iowa State basketball player Xavier Foster is no longer the focus of an investigation into an alleged 2020 sexual assault, Ames police told the Des Moines Register Wednesday afternoon.
“We are not moving forward with charges against Xavier Foster,” Ames Police Commander Dan Walter said. “He’s no longer being looked at as a potential suspect in the investigation.”
Foster's father, DaJuan Foster, had no comment when reached by the Register.
“I sure hope the apology is loud as the disrespect was,” he tweeted earlier Wednesday afternoon.
