AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State wrestling program and head coach Kevin Dresser announced the addition of three prep wrestlers Wednesday. Tate Naaktgeboren, McCrae Hagarty and Blake Gioimo - all Iowa high school products – make up the Cyclones' 2023 class and are set to arrive on campus for the 2023-24 season.
"On behalf of our team and our staff, we want to welcome these three young men to Iowa State wrestling," Dresser said. "We're excited to watch these guys in their senior year and then watch them transition into college life over the summer. Tate and McCrae bring multiple state titles along with national-level accolades and will add a lot of strength to our upper weights. Blake is a lightweight guy who we feel has a lot of potential. I am sure we will add a few more to this class in the near future but this is a great start."
