As I got older I always thought it snowed less in the winter than when I was a kid. While data may show that is true, the change is far smaller than the change I perceived. I decided many years ago that the difference in my childhood perception was due to my small size relative to the snow. But it also seems like meaningful snowfall occurs later than it used to and has resulted in many Christmas season without snow.
