Our granddaughter will be graduating from ISU this spring and this will be her last game with us in the seats we have had since 1988.....she starting coming to games when she was in the 4th grade.
This will also be our last game in these seats as we have decided not to renew our basketball seats.....just getting too difficult for Mrs Clone to get up and down the stairs and she hates Ames weather in the winter.
Oh the memories we take with us.....one of the best will be a conversation I had with Norm Stewart while he was standing near us watching his team warm up one night. Mizzou had just been hit with an NCAA investigation for improper phone credit card us by his players so I ask him in a rather loud voice "hey Norm, I hear you have a new phone credit card number"..he looks at me smiling and I say "yeah, One eight hundred we cheat". He instantly gives me the finger and said "f--k you" loud enough for everyone in the area to hear.. Our section broke up..
