With all this Travis Hines stuff and La Gesse negative columns in the past, it seems as though the Cyclones can't even find a journalistic friend in the Ames Tribune. I mean, where is the Iowa State outlet that works tirelessly to find all things good about the Clones.
I live in Omaha, and the slobbering the OWH engages in pertaining to the football Huskers and the B1G on a year round basis is beyond over the top. Then with basketball season, the same rah rah for the Blue Jays, Huskers and now UNO Mavericks cheer leading beat continues, and those teams and coaches can do no wrong. Hell, even the Hawks get their due in the Herald with full page coverage complete with full color pictures and analysis and human interest stories from time to time.
Pick up a Cedar Rapids Gazette, and you get the same type of "can do know wrong" hype about the Iowa Hawkeyes. The same is true about most locales, and states where the local media hypes and defends the "home town university team and heroes" even when they clearly do not deserve a defense.
So where is Iowa State's media agent. What is it about Iowa State that it can't find a media defender, right or wrong. Why can't we find a cheer leader - at least one?
