I will take RPI as an example.
We are currently #55 in RPI, even though we are 12-0 with 2 good quad 1 wins. I know we have had plenty of slappies on the slate...but so has everyone else.
Who is ahead of us? Let's take a look
Ohio University #54 (8-2)
Morehead Freaking State #53 (5-5)
Utah Valley #51 (7-2)
Creighton #50 (9-3, who we beat head to head ON THE ROAD)
Chattanooga #43 (8-2)
North Texas #40 (5-3)
Marquette #29 (8-5)
Hofstra #26 (6-5)
Oakland #20 (7-4)
Belmont #17 (9-3)
Is this solely due to Strength of Schedule? Will we go shooting up in the RPI, win or lose, after our first 6 Big 12 games?
Is last year figured into it?
I just don't get it. I would like us straight up to beat (and some manhandle) every team I listed up there.
So why are our analytics so weak?
