There is a lot of discussion on a 40 team super league. Starting with the current 65 P5 teams who would be in? [Noting of course a lot of unknowns.]

$EC - Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, LSU, A&M (all in)

B1G - Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, (all in)

ACC - Miami, Florida State, Clemson, North Carolina, Virginia, (All in)

Pac 12 - USC, UCLA, Washington, Oregon (All in)

Big 12 - Texas, Oklahoma, (all in)

Independent- Notre Dame

That is 25. All media darlings and since this is media driven, they are 95%+ to be included. Now we have some speculation as to criteria.

Speculation 1 - There is a desired MBB component to this. That would add Kentucky, Kansas, Indiana and Duke. (4)

Speculation 2 - there would be a need to add Mountain Time Zone teams (Colorado, Utah, Arizona Arizona State. (4)

The other 7 are going to be drive by viewership desires (think ESPN and its platforms.) Most highly considered would be Mississipi (SEC fanaticism), Illinois, and Minnesota.

The last 4 would depend on what factors tip the scale. FB is going to be weighted to $EC and B1G schools. Basketball would be weighted towards Purdue, Syracuse, NC State, maybe even Baylor. Combination would lean to Iowa, Arkansas, Purdue, Baylor. Womens sports might add Stanford and South Carolina. If all are factored, we might, just might, catch the fringe. A real long shot.
