So are we seeing the 2nd wave or just a surge in the first wave? I have heard it argued both ways. The current growth appears to me to be primarily in states that were less impacted initially and is in the south more generally.
It also is impacting younger people with a result of lower mortality. That can be a result of protecting vulnerable and primarily older populations better. That could be because of lockdowns on nursing homes and/or education and awareness.
But if it is not the second wave, and the Drs are correct that it will come back (maybe stronger, maybe mutated, maybe more or less deadly) in the normal flu season, what steps are being taken to face it? Are we gathering ppe for essential workers? Do we have a plan to protect the food supply chain? Will we be more prepared for round 2 if it occurs, than we were for the initial wave?
