Over on HR, of course, they are saying Iowa had a more successful season than ISU and they would not trade their season for ours. I think this is utterly nuts. Does anybody here share that view?
IMHO, there is a huge difference between the memory that is evoked by a season and the relative success of that season. Take the 2000-2001 year. Obviously, the first thing anybody thinks of his Hampton. But that was a very successful season. ISU was highly ranked most of the year and won the conference championship outright.
I can't imagine any rational person thinking ISU did not have a successful season in 2014-15. Disappointing at the end, in spades. But a successful season.
As there are many rational people on this board, I am expecting a lot of agreement.
