This is my opinion, but I think it will hold up. Iowa State will hire a coach similar to Prohm in qualifications. He will be from a smaller conference, with proven success at that level. They want someone who will not be an arrogant rear end with fans, and has proven he can graduate athletes. I expect the starting salary to be under $2 mil with high bonuses for success. This is not a case of settling on the leftovers, they are making contact right now, and within a couple of weeks a new coach will be hired. Anyone who says we have no options is crazy, there are options out there, and some very good ones. The table IS set for a new coach. K State is headed down, KU is bad and Texas is faltering. We can win games. And the new coach will be assured by JP that the schedule will become easier with seven home games yearly in the future, and easier games. Without that assurance, we won't get what we want.
