Since things seem under wraps at football camp and the Expansion news has similarly gone into double-secret probation mode, we have little worthwhile to discuss. In rising to that standard, how about a what-if?
What if Paul Rhoads had centered the field goal against Toledo and taken a knee against K-State and we end up 5-7? Likely, he isn't fired and we are sitting here wondering if this is the season he gets it back on track. How excited do you think you would be for the season? How optimistic? More or less?
More of last years team back in all likelihood. Would that be good or bad? A small recruiting class and who knows where we would be regarding 2017. I doubt we have 19 commits at this point. But more or less optimism for this year's team?
For the record, I still don't know if I would have renewed for this year if CPR was still here. But, to be fair, I don't know if I will next year regardless of success this year. Age does take its toll and my wife's knees make it difficult to climb steps. But the new attitude definitely brought us back for at least one more.
