I thought I would pose this question on this new thread rather the one that already humongous. How did Baylor get so good? Were they not just as bad or worse than ISU until about 7-8 years ago? They have had just as difficult a schedule as ISU. So what happened? The obvious answer to me is coaching. Yes, I realize that it's easier to recruit at Baylor than at ISU, but let's face it. Why were they SO rotten until about the past 7-8 years?
For that matter, what about TCU? Who the hell was TCU until Patterson took charge of that program? So, I still come to the same conclusion. If it can be done at KSU, Baylor, and TCU, it can be done at ISU as well.
