The weather this fall has been nothing short of incredible. This will continue for our last home FB game this Saturday afternoon. We are going the break the record for the latest it will have reached 32 degrees in Des Moines this Wednesday. We will break the record established way back in 1882. There will be lots of rain on Wednesday into Wednesday evening across eastern NE, eastern SD, IA, and MN. It will then get a lot colder for Thursday/Friday. It could make it to 32 at the Des Moines Airport on Friday morning, but this is not a certainty. If it does not make it on Friday morning, we will go at least another 4-5 days without reaching 32.
Saturday morning, will start out on the chilly side with temperatures in Ames in the 30's until about 9:00 AM or so. It will warm rapidly during the rest of the morning and into about 4:00 PM. The high in Ames will reach about 58-60 with sunny skies. Winds will be from the southwest at 5-10 in the morning but increase to 15-20 by afternoon.
Now, if only the team can shock us in a good way as much as the weather has this fall.
