The WCWS field consists of:
  • 3 Big 12 teams
  • 2 SEC
  • 2 PAC-12
  • 1 ACC
  • 0 Big Ten

If the same teams make it next year:
  • The SEC will inherit two teams from the Big 12 putting them at 4 or half the field.
  • The ACC will inherit one team from the PAC-12, putting them at 2.
  • The Big 12 loses two teams to the SEC, putting them at 1.
  • The Big Ten will inherit one team from the PAC-12, putting them at 1.
  • The PAC-12 loses two teams to the SEC and Big Ten, putting them at 0.
