I had previously mentioned that I had been a tad occupied recently for being able to keep up the Cygarin Rating updates, nor have I been on the board much. The link below will show you why. Our second home is on Abel Island.
Not really a big deal, just a wet all concrete lower level. But we had a lot of work getting ready for it moving things out. The biggest issue is that we were just finishing up an upper floor addition, and had all kinds of left over construction materials laying around. We had to get all that out of the way before we could get to our own stuff.
We are at the northern end of Abel, which is higher than the southern end. We have about six inches of water in our lower level, whereby the southern end has about two and a half feet.
No harm done, just an interesting weather anomaly. Most homes on the island are built for to accommodate this.
This is obviously nothing compared to the disaster that those in the Missouri Valley area experienced. My thoughts and prayers to everyone in that area.
For those that understand......I definitely have a deep yearning for a Hairy Buffalo. Or three.
