and Fred goes out of his way to comment on the ISU fans and gushes about Jamie and what a good boss he works for. Could the relationship have be strained in the weeks after, sure, but the more I think about it, the more its just Fred wanting to coach in the NBA if that is the route he goes.
As fans we'll be disappointed and feel that he let us down if he leaves, but its his life and he has to pursue his dreams. We'll make it through either way….if it all shakes down, it will be the most important hire in Iowa State history.
