I have a genuine question that I haven't seen addressed, at least to my recollection. One of the few bright spots occasionally in the news seems to be a quickly developed vaccine (or number of them) that will hopefully be available in the coming XX number of months (pick your number, 6, 12, whatever-at some point there will be a vaccine). However, a big part of the doom and gloom bullshit that the media spews out constantly is that if you have already had the virus, "immunity" (as measured through antibody tests) supposedly only lasts a few months. Personally, I consider this as one of the scare tactics to justify the constant barrage of "be scared, wear masks, stay home, close the world, no football" that have taken over the narrative, but if not, I have a genuine question. How is a vaccine is going to work for longer than five minutes if our own bodies can't make us immune for any real extended period of time? I seriously want to know.
