The Panthers played differently against the Cougars because of WSU's guarding of the top of the key. They chose to be ready for the Purple Panthers' three point shooters off their top of the key actions. So in this game, the Panthers drove it more. Not as many opportunities for threes from UNI, but they also got to the line a lot and finished well against that opponent last night. Even Jesperson drove, which showed a different part of his game he hasn't had.

Now Washington State is not very good, but I thought they played pretty well against UNI. They had above the norm three point shooting, and stayed in the game to take it to the finish line.

Now we get to see how BYU guards UNI, and if is BYU is more the team that played well in their second game in Hawaii, or the one than played less than that in their first game.

OU built a 25-9 lead against Hawaii, and then the Rainbow Warriors came all the way back to stay in the game the rest of the way. Hield started hot, then disappeared. I think it would be dangerous to play too much zone against the Sooners. Their ball movement from their veteran guards would move it quickly and they would find shooters in gaps to exploit a zone. ISU may play it some, but you have to stay with Hield and not forget him. This is a player I try to shade and limit. That will be difficult from this group. This would certainly be a Tim Floyd special, where he would force someone else to beat him. With this team, it won't be that. Just can't leave him and give him space.
