My daughter and I had our vehicles towed from a lot across from Dogtown. The lot has a small sign on the the south side of the lot that can’t be seen as you pull off the street to park on north side of lot. We were at Pizza Pit for 45 minutes and our vehicle were gone. They took them to the west side of Ames, in Boone County and we were charged $250 per vehicle. They hang out by this lot like vultures, hiding behind the guise of the little sign. As my daughter was pulling out of the lot one of their trucks plow into her. They crushed her right front fender and bent the rim. They were going to change the tire and send her on her way. My daughter was honking at him before he hit her. He could barely see over the dash of the truck. When he gets out he told her we don’t have to get insurance involved with this, nice try, my daughter works for State Farm. Then they were going to try and talk her into taking it to a shop in Ames. I put a halt to all that crap and told them they would take it to Smart Honda in Des Moines and would be paying for the rental. The owner said they were self insured and I told him I didn’t give a crap. They first raped us on the tow charges and then tried to con my daughter. If they continue with their shenanigans my attorney would love to tear into them!!
