The Iowa State football team will face Texas under the lights on a Thursday night (Sept. 28) ESPN national broadcast.

Thursday night games are an excellent opportunity to showcase Iowa State to a national audience, but it also impacts normal home game parking protocol because of the mid-week time slot.

Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on Sept. 28, and fans will be allowed to begin parking in most lots, including all Cyclone Club donor lots, at 1 p.m.

Single Game Parking

Grass lots -- Single-game parking in lots G-2, G-3, G-4 and G-5 will be open at 1 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Veterinary Medicine -- Single-game parking, including campers and RVs, in parking lots adjacent to the College of Veterinary Medicine south of South 16th Street will be allowed access to those lots beginning at 3 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Hilton Coliseum -- Single game parking in the lots adjacent to Hilton Coliseum will be extremely limited.

Iowa State Center Lots – Commuter Parking

Patrons, who normally park around the stadium (students, commuters) during the week, should follow the instructions below to help avoid hassles and find the best alternative spot to park.

Students who normally park in the Iowa State Center lots can park in either of these locations on Sept. 28:

-Spaces around Hilton Coliseum (C1/C2/B1/B2)—both paved areas and grass

-Grass area south of the Towers Residence Halls (Wallace/Wilson)

-Parking areas at Brookside Park (near intersection of University Blvd. and 6th Street)

Traffic staff will be on hand to assist in identifying locations to park.

Please note that roads and parking lots in and around Jack Trice Stadium may become congested after being opened to the public beginning at 1 p.m., Sept. 28.
