I was home sick yesterday and ended up watching the 3 games from the Big XII tourney last year. Dustin was all energy all the time. On the floor, pushing, shoving, doing the little things that do not show in the box score just plain making winning plays. The guy you love if on your team and hate if not. A couple plays that really stick out. In the Texas game during the last minute comeback Dustin races down court and shoves Ridley who was running much slower causing Ridley to push Morris and a foul is called on Ridley. Huge play. In the Championship game against KU after ISU came back and the game was tied, ISU misses a shot and KU gets the board but player falls to the ground. Dustin dives in like shot out of cannon and causes a tie up and ISU keeps the possession. ISU scores and takes the lead for the time in the game. He made plays like this all the time. Who is the on the floor mix it up scrapper on this team...no one that I can think of. We need toughness and it's just not there. I hope the team can hold serve at home, prob lose at KU, and finish 10-8. Play well at big XII tourney and make a run in the NCAA tourney, but I just don't see the toughness that is needed to win those close games down the stretch. Please prove me wrong team.
