I'm a big baseball guy and long-time follower of the minor leagues. My wife and I have had Iowa Cubs season tickets for several years. What the MLB has done to try to "overhaul" the minor leagues is just ridiculous. This press release came out of MLB headquarters this morning. All of the tradition and history of the different leagues (Pacific Coast, Texas, Midwest, Florida State, etc.) have been eliminated in lieu of this. The originality of the new league names and divisions are what crack me up the most. The Triple-A West East Division? The Double-A Northeast Southwest Division?
