at our Texas Tech game was in love with his whistle. He was constantly giving it 3 annoying shrill blasts throughout the night, especially towards the end of timeouts. He was the the dude who warned both benches with a delay towards the end of the game.
So I tune in to the end of the KU-KSU game last night, and the first thing I hear over my TV are 3 shrill blasts of a ref's whistle. Sure enough, a moment later the old silver-haired ref appeared on the screen...he was working the KU game, too.
