There's now a hotel in what used to be the woolen mill with a restaurant called the Indigo Room. Mrs. LC and I went there recently. Terrific dinner. It is not a traditional family style situation like other Amana restaurants and doesn't feature German food. It's a regular restaurant with a fairly ordinary menu but very well prepared. Mrs. LC had a grilled tomahawk heritage pork chop that she called the best pork she had ever eaten, and she is not a teen-ager. I had braised short ribs with cheesy polenta. Delicious. Portions were very large.
