Is there an unsaid gift from the NCAA, to ISU for hosting the NCAA tournament?

Maybe some recall some prior NCAA tournaments when NameBrand U, would seemingly receive a high seed, AND a low resistant path in the bracket setup. And then they would be the least challenged, most rested team for the Sweet 16, Final 8, Final 4.
Some despised, or were jealous that would made to occur in the NCAA tournament,
others would say that they earned, based upon record, to get that relatively easier path.
(while also knowing that any team, can be anybody, in a given game.)

Is it just a coincidence that the only year that Iowa State hosts an NCAA mbb Regional (in Des Moines, Iowa at Wells Fargo Arena, with blue teams and blue arch bridges...)
AND ISU gets (earns) a relatively easier path to the Sweet 16?
Maybe.
Maybe it is untold gift.
And yes, Monte getting healthy - and staying healthy - at PG is a timely gift too.
(We know what it is liked to lose a player to injury about this time of year - and there are no injury prevention guarantees.)
(and sure, Little Rock performing the prior good effort of getting past Purdue was not pre-conceived).

But whatever.
Enjoy, and remain resolute and humble.
We will look into the next opponent, focus on that situation, (while the media attempts to hype things up another notch....to draw viewer$).
Keep on playing it, 1 earned possession at-a-time.

Go ISU, Go TEAMS !!!
