Since attending a Cyclone Club event at the Surf Ballroom back in the 2000s and seeing all of the history there, I've always been interested in this tragic event. It's even more so now that my wife is a musical history buff. Hard to believe it was 61 years ago today that the plane crashed north of Clear Lake. Any of you guys have any recollection of this event in your younger days?
