Tear-Drop...Tear-Jerker

The BB game was a nice distraction on the radio on my way back to Ames from Cedar Rapids.

But I must have heard Chris Williams describe shots in the lane as "tear jerkers" at least 2 dozen times.

Haven't I always heard them called "tear drops"?
