I don't think we can say enough about the defensive turnaround this team has seen ever since the end of the game at Texas. We held Kansas to 29 points in the second half and instead of outscoring them to win it, we simply got stops. I don't think any of our Hoiberg-coached teams defended nearly as well as we have in the last two weeks.
It's too early to say whether Prohm will be as successful as Fred, but I think he might just be a better pure basketball coach. Recruiting is huge in college basketball, and it's too early to tell how that will turn out. Nonetheless, I am impressed. This is about as good as I've ever seen an Iowa State team look.
