Listening to and reading some of these media day reports, I have to say I was surprised by some of the talk on the newcomers, particularly the true freshmen CBs. I guess the staff is really enamored of them. The one whose name popped up most frequently was the lowest rated recruit among them, Kym-Mani King. But coaches are also saying good things about Derrick Miller in particular and the rest of the group as well.
I also learned that Campbell thinks that juco WR Darren Wilson may be the fastest man on the team, faster than Kene even. However, if you ask the players, they all say it's still Kene. Well, except for Anthony Johnson, who insisted that he was faster, but when push came to shove, he admitted that maybe Kene was a tad faster.
Chandler Pulvermacher is apparently an animal. I did not know that before.
Speed, speed, speed. We continue to ratchet up the team speed.
Soehner has exceptional athleticism, which is the primary reason he was never moved to tackle early in his career.
We may have a top 5 defensive line in the country and a top 5-10 TE room in the country.
