it can't be said enough. Iowa State and KC have a special bond. They love us we love them. Kansas fans hate it. The old days at Kemper and American Royal for pregame were great but Sprint and P&L are top notch. The footage and commentary about this tourney compared to other tourneys nails it when they say it's taken over as the best and most fun. Even Self said its better than NCAA games.
Yesterday at P&L was crazy. CRAZY. there was a line to get in! Incredible.
So...for those who made their first trek down to KC what did you think? These past two years have been special. We won't ever forget them. I love our fan base. I ran into people we sat next to in the final last year and partied with after we won over Baylor. We see each other across P&L and make eye contact and he mouths 'LAST YEAR!' We never communicated after that night last year until then. Immediately long lost friends like we never missed a beat. I love that because it's who Iowa state fans are.
