Just finished watching all four seasons. It's on HBO, about a huge family-owned business and what happens when the father/founder/patriarch may be yielding control.

1. The fourth and final season is nominated for 27 Emmys. So clearly, it isn't chopped liver.

2. Every other word is the f word. Doesn't bother me, but clear the kiddies out of the room.

3. It has a huge cast. Many, many characters. There are four children, their significant others, numerous ex-wives, employees, politicians, business rivals, etc. I can honestly say that there isn't ONE of them I would like to spend as much as 10 minutes with, or one that I would trust to take care of my cat for a weekend. They are very interesting characters, extremely well-acted, but if something horrible happens to one of them, my reaction is that he/she deserved it. I don't recall ever encountering a novel or movie or TV show where this was the case.

So did I like it? Well, yes and no. Obviously, I liked it enough to binge four seasons of it. On the other hand, I was relieved when I finished the final episode of the fouth season and was very pleased to find there isn't going to be a fifth.
