Worried about the gate jam up. I went in early and had no issues. My wife waited and missed much of the first quarter.
Game was blah. Never so little excitement for a 3OT game that I can recall. As discussed here, the Oline was, once again, offensive. Little push, critical errors, and little evidence of development. OT's were beaten badly several times. General feeling was it felt like a loss.
Leaving stadium was another story. We waited until most of the Upper Deck (A-D) had left. Then we went down the steps to near gridlock on the concourse. Everyone was headed to the NW gate, including, of course, those from the lower sections. Didnt get back to Section A3 until almost 25 minutes after the game ended.
My sister-in-law use to live in Story City. She move to Ames just off 69 at the south edge. I had to find a new way to her house obviously, after the game. I chose poorly. 2 weeks, with all the extra traffic that game brings, may be total chaos.
All in all, not much fun had today.
