One of the coolest aspects of this gig is to cover someone as a high school prospect all the way through his Iowa State career and watch him get drafted into the NFL. I thought it'd be cool to link this piece I published on Will way back in July of 2017 during the summer leading up to his senior season at Waukesha (Wisc.) North High School.

McDonald visit strengthens commitment

The recruit that got the ball rolling on Iowa State's 2018 recruiting class was recently back on campus.
