Hadnt really thought about this until the other night but it has been stated that Fred watches more NBA than college basketball. Having to watch Steve Kerr coach the Golden State Warriors to the best record in the league with a team custom made for an offense that Fred runs had to eat at him a little. I do believe he was the first choice for that job but walked away before things got serious.
Not saying Fred would have had the same success at G-State but i am sure he would have been close. Also not sure if this would speed up his overall plan to coach in the league but i cant think it would help.
I have to admit that i have actaully started to wonder if Fred might be really entertaining leaving Ames. If it is his dream i am happy for him to have that chance as most never get an opportunity to live out dreams. Just deflated with the situation.
