My thoughts on how things look for next year. I know we kind of do the position less basketball thing, but I assigned players to traditional positions even though we may have guys that can guard two or three positions.
point guard-Haliburton back up-Jackson
shooting guard-Nixon back up Haliburton
small forward-Leech Back up Lewis
Power Forward-Jacobson back up-Griffin
Center-Young Back up Conditt
Not sure where Anderson fits at this point. looks like we need another guard, someone to back up Nixon. Right now, if we have an injury in the guard court, it would be very thin. Plus, we need an aggressive point guard, hopefully Haliburton can show that next year, kind of like he did in the Big 12 tournament.
What I like about next years group, although not as talented as this year, is we will have a decent amount of experience. Jacobson, Nixon, Young, and Haliburton have all played a ton of minutes in their careers already.
