South 5th Street is now open. It had been closed for many weeks or months. For those of you that don't know, S 5th is the street that intersects Duff near the Chipotle and goes by the new Aldi. It was a short street with a right angle turn turning into S Walnut Ave. It was kind of a shortcut or alternate route from S 3rd Street to Duff.
As you head west, S 5th St. now swings a little south of where the right angle turn used to be and it continues on to S Grand Ave. You can't take S Grand Ave. south yet, but you can take it north next to HyVee. The short cut just got better.
Eventually S Grand Ave. will continue south and intersect with S 16th St., which is the street that goes by Old Chicago, Dublin Bay and Coldwater Golf Course to the stadium.
