TCU lost junior Sammy Douglas, its most experienced linebacker, for the year in the Minnesota game and also lost sack machine DE James McFarland for the year. Now another starting linebacker, Mike Freeze, a freshman, is taking a leave of absence from football. TCU graduated all of its starting LBs from last year, so they were thin there to begin with. A freshman LB will start at one of the vacated spots, and most of their remaining LBs are sophs or younger. TCU starts only 2 LBs anyway. They have 3 safeties and two CBs on the field most of the time. But this has gotta hurt.
