A remark from Bowlsby that seemed like a throw away comment perked my ears up. He mentioned how the Big 12 members have been intelligent about debt/expenses given current and projected revenue streams and not everyone in college athletics has been so fiscally prudent (I'm paraphrasing here). He could have been referencing schools like Cincy, Houston, or UConn which heavily subsidize their athletic depts., but he may very well have been thinking of PAC 12 schools. There are several athletic depts. in the PAC 12 with balance sheets hemorrhaging red ink. IMO, the PAC 12 network has been woefully short on revenue and very expensive to build out. I would expect to see major shifts in the structure of that network.
