1. Great to see Naz back on the court. He and Matt couldn't have looked any smoother with their shots.
2. 3/4 press was fun and productive. Will be interested to see if it impacts the games with more talented teams.
3. Deonte Burton was a force. Six steals? His dunk over the USF guy had two Sioux Falls guys sitting on the end of the bench talking and laughing. But I think he saved the best for his post game interview when he said, "I may not have the same results as tonight, but my effort will be just as high every time out". Outstanding and a great sign.
4. Salomon Young is a freakin man. I've watched Cyclone basketball a long time and I honestly can't recall any freshman in the cardinal & gold that was built like that. I didn't have many expectations for his game, but had no idea he could hit threes. Like any freshman he got lost on defense, but if he has the necessary work ethic he will really be a force in the coming years.
5. Bowie/Holden blocked shots and grabbed some rebounds. Hard to tell what they are capable of given the competition.
6. Monte is Monte.
7. Has there ever been a Cyclone team with this many lefties on the roster?
8. Weiler-Babb showed some rust from his year long layoff.
9. Jackson is a good addition.
