So the NCAA is going down the same path as most professional sports in allowing social justice patches.

So I am curious as to everyone's thoughts on this.

What isn't clear is if each athlete gets to alter their uniforms individually - I get the impression that is what will be allowed. It will put coaches in a difficult position if different athletes want to have different causes on their uniforms, while some athletes don't want any cause on the uniform. Not to mention being cost ineffective if a team has to alter dozens of jerseys individual with individual patches.

The other point, is that since "social justice" is a euphemism for left-leaning political causes, if ISU goes all in on social justice, how will it impact fan support? Not everyone who supports Iowa State is a liberal democrat or social justice warrior.

For me, if Iowa State goes all in for BLM messaging or other left-leaning messages, I won't be watching games or buying tickets. I'll drop my CycloneTV subscription also.
