There was a fair amount of stones cast at U of Texas football recruiting and fingers pointed at the Big 12 conference as the reason for the showing until....well, until the actual LOIs were signed and Texas was praised for having a great recruiting class. Damn, maybe Longhorn recruiting had more to do with Mack Brown & Co doing a poor job and Charlie Strong getting his roots planted than conference affiliation.
