Fred Hoiberg is the basketball coach at Iowa State University. He has not been contacted by any NBA team per a recent comment by Jamie Pollard. Why would Fred make any public statements when nothing of substance has happened? That sets a bad precedence where you would be expected to continually respond to rumors. All the talk that has fans in a frenzy is fabricated by the media and fan speculation. Each new piece of so called inside information just feeds the cycle. I think if I were in Fred's shoes, I'd just keep silent also. I'd be worried more about making a full recovery from major surgery so that I could actually perform the duties required of a head coaching job.
