Should the staff slow down football recruiting now?

Given we have missed on most, if not all, of the top HS targets, will the coaches slow things down until after the season starts when they hopefully have some wins to build off of and go after some better recruits like Thomas and Crooney like last year?

I also wonder if the delay in extending a QB offer is more about they think they need a JC QB instead of a HS QB. Seems odd that they can't find a decent HS prospect.

I used to think that if CPR has 5 wins or 4 wins with one being a good upset that it could save his job. However, I starting to feel that if he has 5 wins but the recruiting class is below par, he is done. it shows he has nothing left to sell.

Thoughts??
