Is five years all we can expect? I believe it is. Whether a coach moves on to supposed greener pasture, moves before he is fired, or actually gets fired, that five year window is real. Suppose Johnny were coaching here today as opposed to the old days when tickets were dirt cheap and donor levels were entry level positions. No way his record would stand the test of time today, imo.
