I like the guy....he's one of the few ESPN guys who gives a fair shake to all teams from around the country, regardless of conference or location. Has had a lot of good things to say about ISU and Hilton over the years.
He was on Mike and Mike this morning. A couple of his observations:
1.) On why the Big 10 got lower seeds: "The bottom of that conference was SO BAD that 4, 6 or even 8 wins against those teams didn't mean much in the eyes of the committee."
2.) He was high on Indiana....said they are better than ISU and should have been seeded higher than us as a #3. (I can't argue with that--they have a nice team.)
3.) Is also high on Purdue's two 7-footers---said they can cause a lot of problems scoring and rebounding.
4.) Don't expect a Hawaii upset over Cal. The Bears have 4 NBA prospects on their team.
5.) Of the 4 top seeds, he likes Oregon and their talent.
6.) Expects Iowa to handle Temple, but Villanova will be a challenge to anyone.
