The tree service showed up this morning and started work on my trees. They are an outfit out of Katy, Texas that is doing a lot of work in the neighborhood. Unfortunately the work today didn't last long. A previous customer from the rich neighborhood wanted a little more work done, so they packed up and returned to finish that job. They might be back later today, but I doubt it. They only had about four or five of their crew here this morning and no heavy equipment yet, so they didn't make a ton of progress.
If you saw the picture I posted before of the big tree, leaning in another big tree, it was interesting to see how they were going to attack that one. They took a cut out at the bottom of about three foot of trunk and changed the angle of it a bit. It's no longer attached to the ground in any way, so maybe that was the plan before the heavy equipment or climbers get here.
I understand they may have ten people here when they get fully spooled up, but they only had four or five this morning.
My yard will never look the same.
