I was as pumped up with the second half efforts of the football team after the miserable first quarter.
However, as I read all the comments about how well we played in the second half, I reflect back on reading in the D. M. Register after Nebraska had beaten Iowa in a close ball game that Hayden Fry said something about some physical repercussion if he heard any of his players mention that they played a good game. He indicated that they were not playing to be respectable, but were playing to win the games.
I know, I know the rules have changed since then, but damn it I want wins not we played a close game today B. S.
We've had players and coaches in the past that have been real leaders and made everyone on the team better players. Where are they now. Someone coaches or players need to get a kick ass attitude like they had in the second half last Saturday.
