AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women’s basketball head coach Bill Fennelly has announced the signing of transfer Jada Williams to the 2025-26 roster. Williams comes to Ames following two seasons at Arizona.

“We are so excited to add Jada to the Cyclone women’s basketball family,” said Fennelly. “Jada’s passion for the game, combined with an outstanding skill set fits our team perfectly. Our goal in the portal was to add a special player and person at the guard spot, and we feel we did exactly that in Jada.”

Williams started in 30 contests for Arizona in 2024-25, leading the Wildcats in scoring with 12.7 points per game and increasing to 13.4 points per game in conference contests. She totaled 23 double digit scoring performances on the season with three 20-plus point games as a sophomore. As a rookie, the Williams dropped a career-high 23 points on then-No. 3 Stanford, scoring 14 points in the fourth quarter to help the Wildcats to a marquee Pac-12 victory.

The Kansas City native is a 2023 McDonald’s All-American, joining classmate and fellow Cyclone Addy Brown to help West defeat East, 110-102. She was also named a SLAM All-American and a member of the inaugural Nike Hoops Summit team the same year. Williams has represented the United States and won gold medals at the 2022 FIBA U17 World Cup and 2021 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
