With his roots, I had high hopes that PR would be able to build deep relationships Iowa high school coaches and evaluate Iowa kids to an extraordinary degree.
I'll be honest when I say that I don't have time to keep up on Iowa high school teams and potential recruits, so I ask the question-
From what I have heard, he really whiffed on Scherff. Did he miss on any other kids that grew up ISU fans and excelled at IA or elsewhere?
Or kids that we simply didn't offer that went elsewhere and made an impact?
I realize that recruiting is not an exact science and kids continue to develop, however, I am just curious.
