I just bought an Air Fryer today. After looking at them for a while and seeing the Consumer Reports ratings, I purchased a GoWISE 5.8 quart model. It was ranked second in Consumer Reports, but the top model had a flaw they did not discover. Based on user reviews the lettering comes off the buttons. The GoWISE doesn't have silkscreened lettering and instead has a digital touchscreen display. I think I made the right choice.

Tonight I made a small batch of French Fries as a test. They were pretty good, but I may have overcooked them a little. We followed that up with fried chicken. I had a thigh and she had a leg. We found a recipe online that recommended marinating the chicken overnight or up to 24 hours, but it said you could do it in as little as an hour. We did it in an hour, but are marinating the rest of the chicken for tomorrow. It came out cooked to perfection with a nice crusty exterior. We used Frank's hot sauce to spice it up. I didn't think the flavor penetrated into the chicken. It was all in the crispy skin. I usually avoid most of the skin but that's where all the flavor was tonight. I'm hoping the result will be better tomorrow after marinating for almost a day.

Who has an air fryer and what do you think about it? Do you have any great recipes?
